KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY SAFE

A Message From Our Producing Operations Director

May 20th, 2020

First and foremost, we hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe.  We want to thank you for your continued patronage and patience as we all confront and adjust to today's challenges together.

As we look forward to welcoming you back to the theater, we want you to know about the changes we've made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Your safety and the safety of our performers and team members is our top priority, and we are committed to providing you a clean, comfortable and healthy venue for entertainment. That's why we have closely monitored information provided by the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, our local health department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to inform our practices.

As we reopen, you will notice some changes throughout the theater.  We've compiled a comprehensive list of changes below but certainly welcome you to reach out with any additional questions or concerns that you may have.  We may be reached at 316-263-0222 during regular box office hours or by email at mail@mosleystreet.com.  Beginning on June 4th, 2020, please expect:

  • Social-distancing procedures to be in place with reminders and guidance throughout the theater.

  • Our friendly front-of-house staff to be wearing face coverings.

  • A revised seating chart allowing our patrons to be seated at least six feet from other groups.

  • Hand sanitizer to be available for patron and team member use.

  • A protective shield around the buffet designed to help reduce the spread of germs.

  • A revised process for navigating the buffet, still catered by our wonderful partners at Pig In! Pig Out! BBQ!

In addition to these changes, please note that moving forward Mosley Street Melodrama will:

  • Require any team member that is not feeling well to stay home.

  • Check all team members' temperatures and ask screening questions upon their arrival to work.

  • Have designated bussers to assist with clearing tables.

  • Complete thorough cleaning during the day, prior to opening our doors for the evening, paying extra attention to frequently touched surfaces.  These surfaces will also be quietly disinfected during the melodrama and the olio as you are enjoying the show.

  • Update some of our reservation policies to serve you better.  For a complete list of our policies and for a list of frequently asked questions, please click here.

The safety of our patrons has always been a top priority.  At Mosley Street, we have always and continue to:

  • Use disposable tableware, with the exception of flatware, and require clean plates and bowls for each trip to the buffet.

  • Clean and sanitize flatware in a commercial-grade dishwasher.

  • Clean tables at the end of the evening with Lysol Multi-Surface Pourable, a specific Lysol product that has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to COVID-19.

  • Sanitize all bar glassware with BTF Chlor Tab, a product that is intended for commercial use on glassware and other items.

  • Provide antibacterial hand soap in the restrooms and dressing rooms.

  • Use a disinfectant spray daily on all frequently touched items, including toilet handles, stall door hardware, door handles, pushes and pulls and handrails.

Please know how honored we are to be part of your community and that you choose Mosley Street Melodrama for your entertainment.  In these difficult times, we look forward to welcoming you back and providing you with a dose of the best medicine - laughter!
